Meaghan, Sandra, and Rasheed have already made their presence felt, proving to be invaluable additions to our team.
Meaghan Goldstein got her start with KTT as a summer associate in 2019 and is now a full-time attorney after receiving her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. During her time there, Meaghan served as an editor on the Executive Board of the University of Miami Law Review. She was also a member of the Federal Appellate Clinic and Trial Team and is still with the team as an assistant coach.
Before pursuing a career in the legal profession, Meaghan was an Adjunct Instructor at Rutgers teaching Art History. A big historian, Meaghan was intrigued by tales and depictions of medieval disputes and soon channeled this intrigue into striving to become a lawyer.
Meaghan has hit the ground running at KTT, utilizing her experience in complex commercial litigation and class actions while showing a keen interest in working on Ponzi scheme litigation moving forward.
She also has two prestigious clerkships lined up over the next two years. She will clerk on the District Court with Judge Roy Altman in 2022 and on the 11th Circuit with Judge Barbara Lagoa in 2023, after which she looks forward to rejoining our firm. She is looking forward to planting her roots here and getting more involved in the local legal community, having already joined the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Bar Association for Women Lawyers and volunteering as a coach at the UM School of Law.
Sandra Mejia joined KTT full-time after having previously worked at the firm as a summer associate, while completing her studies at Florida International University, where she recently received her J.D., magna cum laude. While at FIU, she was a member of Moot Court and was involved as a coach and volunteer within the legal program.
Sandra knew she wanted to go to law school from an early age, partly due to having family members who were attorneys and growing up surrounded by stories of the profession. Now that she has achieved her goal, Sandra is hard at work, interfacing with multiple teams on differing cases, ranging from complex commercial litigation to pharmaceutical litigation.
Moving forward, Sandra hopes to continue honing her skill set and establishing a strong reputation for herself in these fields of law.
Rasheed Nader joins KTT with an exceptional level of experience not often seen in recent graduates. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Florida International University, where he was also a member of the FIU Law Review. Rasheed interned for the Honorable Jonathan Goodman at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
After graduation, he served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Robert J. Luck at the Florida Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
While working at a local boutique law firm, Rasheed had opportunity to work on cases with KTT and quickly became impressed with the firm’s diversity and variety of case work. Soon after, he seized the opportunity to join the firm.
Rasheed has thrived in his short time at KTT, combining his drive and passion to contribute to the firm and facilitate cases in various fields of law, ranging from appeals and complex litigation to class actions and beyond.
Moving forward, Rasheed hopes to continue working on a wide range of cases, while also hoping to further his work on appeals and cases with a human interest where the results of a case can have a meaningful impact.
