Abe Andrew Bailey is an attorney at Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton. He focuses his practice on complex litigation and appeals.
Abe received his bachelor’s degree in psychology, summa cum laude, from the University of Central Florida, in Orlando, Florida, and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He was on the Dean’s List consistently, and he received honors including book awards for appellate advocacy, and appellate law and policy. He served as the Head Executive Research Editor of the Journal of Law & Public Policy, a teacher’s assistant for Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy, and a research assistant to Professor E. Lea Johnston. He was actively involved on campus, and served as an Ambassador for the Introduction to Law School and the Profession program and the Secretary of the Black Law Students Association.
Prior to joining KTT, he was a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Jared M. Strauss at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He also served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Mark W. Klingensmith at Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal.
During law school, he served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Patrick M. Hunt. He also worked as a Certified Legal Intern at the Office of the Public Defender Eighth Judicial Circuit, in Gainesville, Florida, and as a Summer Legal Intern at the Department of Justice Summer Law Intern Program, in Washington, D.C.
He is currently a member of the Broward County Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
Abe was born and raised in South Florida, is an avid volleyball player, and enjoys volunteering at his church.
