Biography

Vincent Alexander is an Associate in Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton’s bankruptcy department. He joined the firm in January of 2009. Mr. Alexander focuses his practice on all aspects of bankruptcy including representation of Creditors and Creditors’ Committees.  He also handles insolvency-related litigation.

He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, he was an active member of the Charles C. Papy Jr. Moot Court Board and successfully competed in numerous competitions, including the Conrad B. Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition, where his team was a semi-finalist and recipient of an Outstanding Brief Award. During law school, he also received Honors and the Judge Philip Bloom Award for his performance in the Litigation Skills Program. As a result of his oral advocacy and writing skills, Mr. Alexander was selected as a member of the Order of the Barristers upon graduating. He was also a recipient of the University of Miami Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Mr. Alexander received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania where he double majored in Economics and Communications and Commerce.

During law school, Mr. Alexander served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Robert A. Mark of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Florida, and worked as a Summer Associate for the legal department of a large telecommunications company in its corporate headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

Prior to going to law school, Mr. Alexander was a mortgage banker for a large national lender. In addition to his professional work, he was a linebacker in the NFL with the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals.
