Biography
Brett E. von Borke practices in Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton’s complex litigation department. Mr. von Borke has experience in complex commercial and class action litigation in Federal and State court, primarily in the areas of antitrust, products liability, wage and labor disputes, and securities fraud.
Prior to joining Koyzak Tropin & Throckmorton, Mr. von Borke was an Associate at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, and practiced in the products liability and securities litigation departments. Additionally, Mr. von Borke wrote extensively on the subprime mortgage litigation focusing on the liability of bond insurers in credit default swaps.
Mr. von Borke earned his J. D. degree, cum laude, from Boston College Law School in May of 2007. Mr. von Borke received his B.A. in Political Science, summa cum laude, from Boston College in December of 2003. Mr. von Borke is also currently an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law, where he teaches Legal Research and Writing.
