Vincent Alexander is an associate in Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton’s bankruptcy department. Vincent is a versatile bankruptcy and litigation attorney who represents debtors, creditors, trustees, and committees in all facets of bankruptcy and bankruptcy and insolvency related litigation.
Vincent was part of the team that represented the corporate owner and operator of a prestigious golf facility on the west coast of Florida. The company required a debt restructuring in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis and the accompanying downturn in Florida real estate values. The team confirmed a consensual Chapter 11 plan that enabled the company to continue operations and emerge with a healthy balance sheet.
Vincent successfully represented two debtors that owned a hotel-condominium and condominium units in Bal Harbor, Florida in a successful sale of assets in connection with a confirmed, consensual chapter 11 plan of reorganization. He also represented the largest creditor in a complex chapter 11-bankruptcy proceeding of an engineering company and which received a significant distribution on unsecured claims.
In addition to bankruptcy matters, Vincent has successfully represented individuals and entities in complex litigation matters. He recently successfully recovered fraudulently withheld capital investments for a departed partner in an international real estate development project. He also has represented professional athletes in fraudulent investment matters.
Prior to law school, Vincent was a linebacker in the NFL with the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals.
