Monica McNulty is an associate in Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton’s healthcare and complex litigation practice groups. Prior to joining Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton, Monica worked at a Miami-based civil litigation firm, focusing on professional liability litigation and commercial litigation.
Monica received her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in May of 2013. While in law school, she worked as an intern for the in-house legal department of Hard Rock International, and as a legal extern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Edwin G. Torres of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. In 2010, Monica received her bachelor’s degree in political science at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. While at Rollins, she participated in the Honors Degree Program.
Monica has experience representing businesses, individuals, and municipalities in various contract and tort disputes in both state and federal court. She also has experience representing attorneys and other professionals in malpractice and related disputes, including successfully defending a prominent law firm at trial in federal court against claims of gross negligence and lost profits arising out of a failed loan transaction. In addition, Monica represents healthcare providers such as hospitals, clinics, and physician groups in disputes with private and government payers. She also counsels such providers on contract negotiations and regulatory compliance issues.
